VDSL2 - the two-wire solution
The ultra-flat patch cable

DSLAMs (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexers) are used wherever large VDSL2 networks need to be managed. They control large company networks, connecting them to the telephone system. They are able to distribute data via existing telephone cables or other signal lines in offices, remote buildings and factories or warehouses. By using appropriate receiving devices (CPE) at the destination, all fed-in information and services are made usable again and made available to the connected subscribers.
Following on from the NV-802S with 8 ports, network product specialist Netsys has now introduced the NV-1602S, a DSLAM with 16 ports. In addition to the core functions described above, the NV-1602S, like its smaller counterpart, handles routing and network segmentation using VLAN and ensures optimum security thanks to its support for the latest authentication functions. Due to its enormous range of functions, the NV-1602S is also a cost-effective alternative for car parks and hotels, as it uses the two-wire infrastructure consisting of telephone lines or other connections.
In addition, the manufacturer has further optimised the transmission quality of the NV-1602S with the UPBO and DPBO functions. The power back-off function (UPBO) reduces the signal level to the minimum value for different cable lengths. This reduces interference and power consumption. DPBO prevents signal interference on other lines.
