BLE-, WiFi- and Infrared Technology
From asset tracking to employee safety: Sofia™ provides real-time insights,
to streamline your processes and boost workplace efficiency.
Sofia™ is AiRISTA’s RTLS (Real-Time Location System) platform, offering intelligent tracking, monitoring, and analytics for assets, employees, and workflows. Using Wi-Fi and BLE tags, it provides real-time insights across your existing Wi-Fi infrastructure—enabling organizations to optimize operations, enhance security, and reduce downtime. In Sofia, users can view live map displays of assets and personnel, define rules, generate reports, and integrate with other platforms.
Healthcare providers are under pressure: rising costs are colliding with declining reimbursements. As reimbursement models increasingly focus on treatment quality and patient satisfaction, a seamless patient experience is becoming a decisive factor—for efficiency as well as for better outcomes. This requires precise coordination of resources across the entire care continuum to ensure consistently high-quality care.
The Sofia™ platform consists of modules that, when used together, enable well-designed, context-sensitive coordination of resources:
Reduce losses, ensure timely maintenance, and optimize asset utilization—to lower costs and improve equipment availability in patient care.
Use emergency buttons or badges to discreetly trigger alarms when employees are in danger or need urgent assistance. This allows security personnel to quickly locate and assist the person in need.
Track patient movements throughout the facility to manage workflows more efficiently. By monitoring wait times, optimizing bed occupancy, and ensuring timely transfers, overall throughput can be improved.
Integrate quickly and easily with various Wi-Fi infrastructure vendors, such as Cisco, HPE Aruba, Juniper, and others. Interoperable with electronic health records (EHR) and hospital information systems (HIS) to streamline workflows and provide data analytics for greater efficiency and improved patient care.
Sofia™ offers a seamless, intelligent tracking solution: tags for patients, staff, and devices, as well as secure beacons in monitored areas such as waiting rooms and patient rooms. These beacons send real-time location data, including timestamps, to a cloud-based portal—providing full transparency into movements, dwell times, and the efficiency of workflows.
Automated alerts notify staff of peak volumes, delays, and equipment shortages—enabling a quick response. Interactive dashboards and reports, available across all devices, help identify bottlenecks, track improvements, and continuously optimize processes. Thanks to bidirectional cloud communication, custom notifications—such as reminders or alerts for patients—can be sent to tags. Users can also trigger workflows in real time using the button on the tag.
Local processing ensures added reliability—this way, functionality remains uninterrupted even during internet outages
AiRISTA HVS Vision is the web-based graphical user interface and central management tool for the AiRISTA real-time tracking system RTLS. The integrated dashboard offers an intuitive view of the tracked objects, their assignment to the end devices (tags) and their battery status. With interactive map view, the locations of individual objects can be clearly displayed and analyzed in real tim and historically, even for large installations. Real-time tracking allows events triggered by the tracked objects and sensors to be recorded and reported. Depending on the event, Vision signals and alerts users or emergency services via text message, email, ESPA or relay contacts.
ESPA connection alarm server (ERA interface) | The “ESPA RTLS Adapter” can be used wherever call systems, alarm servers or logistics systems communicate via the ESPA standard: Alarms are transmitted to the RTLS system via the ERA interface or, conversely, alarms from the RTLS system are transmitted to an alarm server.
The ability to adapt RTLS from AiRISTA to the specific business requirements of companies thanks to the integration of application programming interfaces (APIs) makes this system particularly interesting. With access to the RTLS programming interfaces, developers can quickly integrate RTLS into other systems, which means significant added value.
The Avanis RTLS Suite gives you access to many useful tools - perfectly tailored to your environment:
Logs and visualizes the pagers and events notified in the event of an alarm or event
Receiving e-mail via SMTP, extracting a message text from the e-mail subject using customizable filters
Detailed display of process sequences, individually tailored to operational requirements
24/7 software monitoring of the RTLS function by checking tag communication with the RTLS server with alerts in the event of a malfunction
Enables and logs the simple change of tag configurations by pressing a button, triggering an alarm, etc.
Enables permanent monitoring of the asset assignment of all tags registered in the system
BatMon analyses and visualizes the battery or rechargeable battery performance of RTLS tags.
Switching contacts of the building control system can be triggered via the RIO interface when defined RTLS events occur
Real Instant Messaging Application for sending text messages or warning calls to all accessible tags
Before installing an RTLS system, we measure, analyze and optimize the existing Wi-Fi architecture - or plan it from scratch if necessary. This is followed by a comprehensive needs analysis and capacity planning of all hardware components (access points, RTLS tags and accessories, etc.) in order to meet the requirements for an optimally functioning RTLS application. Upon request, we can deliver all components fully configured.
Whether it's a new installation or a system expansion - we are the reliable partner at your side and will adapt the RTLS application optimally to your environment and your individual requirements.
We offer targeted trainings for IT administrators and make them fit to manage the RTLS solution. If required, we can also train users for everyday use.
