It was an exciting day for us too: during the first Bielefeld Digital Day, students from Heepen Secondary School spent almost an entire working day with us – to experience first-hand the varied and exciting everyday life of an IT company.
Favorite subject? Computer science! This naturally gave the students the best possible foundation for a career in IT. They also brought with them curiosity and interest in the things we do here at Avanis.
Programming, configuring IP addresses, “selling” SlimWire, or preparing social media posts for Digi Day—the eighth graders were able to try their hand at these tasks themselves. “I really enjoyed the workshops,” was the feedback from the students on our program. “We got a good overview of the different areas of the company,” was the summary at the end of the day – which of course made us very happy. As a farewell, we presented the students with a certificate confirming their first experiences in their chosen field of work.
For us as a company, Bielefeld Digital Day was a great opportunity to engage with the trainees of tomorrow at an early stage. We would like to thank REGE mbH for organizing the first Digital Day in cooperation with WEGE mbH and the East Westphalia Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Bielefeld!
