With Sofia, AiRISTA provides a completely new application design that ensures an improved user experience and is optimised for desktop, tablet or smartphone use. Graphic elements and customisable page layouts facilitate intuitive operation. Sofia integrates tags that now support Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), infrared and GPS (depending on the model) in addition to Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5GHz). This greatly expands the range of the tracking system. With Sofia, users get a detailed live map view that displays, monitors and analyses the current positions of objects or people.
In addition to the use of tags for patients, employees, equipment or work tools, the tracking solution is based on secure beaconing devices that are placed in monitored areas such as waiting rooms or patient rooms, production halls, hotel corridors, etc., ensuring reliable coverage of all areas and zones. These beacons transmit real-time location data with time stamps, providing insight into movements, dwell times and the efficiency of workflows. Automatic alerts inform staff about peak loads, delays and equipment bottlenecks, enabling them to respond quickly. Interactive dashboards and reports, accessible via various end devices, help to identify inefficiencies, track improvements and drive continuous process optimisation.
Thanks to bidirectional communication, customised alerts can be sent to tags to remind or notify patients, while the button on the tag allows the user to trigger workflows and responses in real time – such as requesting specific assistance in an emergency.
Sofia RTLS is designed to be particularly easy to integrate into existing infrastructures. It supports a wide range of access points (including Cisco and HPE Aruba). Connection to other external systems (alarm servers, etc.) is also possible without any problems thanks to the appropriate interfaces (API, MQTT, Flow Studio). As a cloud solution, Sofia is available for use in your company as quickly as possible. For maximum reliability and uninterrupted functionality even in the event of internet outages, local implementation of the system is recommended. With the provision of Sofia, AiRISTA also focuses on the issue of security. Two-factor authentication, ongoing penetration tests, configurable password requirements, automatic logouts, etc. are standard features to effectively protect sensitive areas.
