With the ECS-4120, Edge-Core has introduced a new Gigabit switch that, as a resilient network professional, can play an outstanding role in critical IT environments. As an OAM-certified (Operations, Administration, Maintenance) switch, it operates in accordance with the standards and protocols defined by IEEE 802.1ag and ITU-T Y.1731. This makes it the perfect tool for monitoring end-to-end services and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.

This makes the ECS-4120 ideal for use by Internet service providers or system operators. But it also demonstrates its strengths in corporate or campus networks.

These strengths also include availability, flexibility, quality of service, and prioritization of data-intensive services. With four 10 Gigabit uplink ports, it ensures sufficient bandwidth at all times. Depending on the model, it also offers up to 48 copper ports (10/100/1000) as additional hard skills.

The ECS-4120 supports jumbo frames, VLANs, and static routing. It optimizes network load thanks to IGMP snooping. Additional security features such as DHCP snooping round out its profile.
